Hope In The LORD Removes Our Shame
(Editor's note: Hope, when referred to in the Word of GOD means something drastically different from the common language usage. It is a courageous, committed and consistent certainty that what has been Promised by CREATOR will indeed come to pass in our personal walk with HIM!
Psalm
25:3
No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without
excuse.
This is such good news! Our Wonderful CREATOR has stooped over way low to the earth to relieve one of the most dreadful emotions that affect us. That is the emotion of Shame!
I understand that shame is not only an emotion. Shame is like a dark cloud floating around looking for likely objects over which to hover. But as it does hover it begins to inflict a terrible poison into us.
Shame destroys. It tears apart our character and self-esteem. It rips up families and friendships. It can bring an entire city to its knees. Lives have been lost over shame. It is a major cause of suicide.
FATHER CREATOR to the rescue. How to avoid shame and its devastating effects . . . Hope in HIM! We have a promise here. No one! That includes me and you and everyone else. No one who hopes in HIM! Now that may or may not include you and me. Well it includes me. Now about you . . .
Reality check: Do you hope in HIM? Do you rest each moment in HIS saving power? Are you convinced in HIS love and Faithfulness? Are you immovable about HIS devotion to your life and its fullness?
If you are, I have great news! You cannot be brought to shame. If you have slipped in the past, repent (change your direction) fast! Now! Begin to trust in HIM! HE is fully trustable! HE is! If you asked HIM, HE would say, "I AM!" That is who HE is! HE is The Great I AM!
So cast your life to HIM and don't take it back. HE is the shame-remover and HE will surely keep HIS Word!
