JESUS Is Your Supply

(Editor's note: The Hebrew notion of Salvation (Deliverance) included much more than forgiveness and eternal life. Salvation meant freedom from debt, worry, fear and sickness.  Power over enemies, total victory and possession of a land was integral  to the concept.  Today many believers have been put off by hyper-prosperity teaching.  This teaching may have been responsible for many believers retreating entirely from the True Gospel, which portrays CREATOR as SUPPLIER

"I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.  And my God will meet (Supply) all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.  To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.  Philippians 4:18-20

What is your concept of Supply?  Many of us have been taught from word-go that Suppling all our needs meant that if we had a crust of bread to eat, we were Supplied.  Well thank GOD for that crust.  But we are missing the point.

While we do not want to seem greedy, let us see that Supply means No Lack!  From the definition, Supply (the actual word that Paul used) means "fill to the brim."

Think about this.  If your family was hungry, you scraped up your last hunk of change, went to the store with your biggest bowl, paid the man for food and he tossed in a crust of bread, how would you feel?  If it we me I would voice my irritation.  "How full do you want it?" he might ask.  "To the brim of the bowl!"  I would reply.  And I would not leave until it was done!!!!  I Paid, after all.

Difference with CREATOR (DADDY) is that we did not pay.  HE paid.  Now we are not sure what the Supply should be like.  Are we being greedy to ask for the best?  I see it on DADDY'S shelf, but I don't want to impose or be un-Spiritual . . .

Brothers and sisters, we are in a war!  We are soldiers in that war.  We must fight.  JESUS is our Captain!  What kind of Captain would HE be to send HIS army out without Provision?  I will let you in on a little secret.  DADDY wants More Kids!!!!  We (HIS Church) are the adoption agency!  You!  Me!  Us!  That's what it's all about.  It is not about us rolling in riches.  But, we, as a people, are so far  from being Supplied to the point that our concerns are OFF our debt and lack and on HIS WILL!!!!!  Yes!  I am excited!  The keys are coming off my keyboard!

Jump on the wagon.  Let's ride together to the land that is full to the brim with milk and honey and Supply!
