The LORD'S Plan For Your Supply!
(Editor's note: The Hebrew notion of Salvation (Deliverance) included much more than forgiveness and eternal life. Salvation meant freedom from debt, worry, fear and sickness. Power over enemies, total victory and possession of a land was integral to the concept. Today many believers have been put off by hyper-prosperity teaching. This teaching may have been responsible for many believers retreating entirely from the True Gospel, which portrays CREATOR as SUPPLIER!
Faithful FATHER shows HIMSELF Faithful to the faithful. What is faithful? When a blind man calls for his seeing-eye-dog, he is there! When my daughter of 9 years gets nervous, and calls me, I am there. OK. Hold that thought. I want to turn this concept inside out! In the blind man analogy, I bet you thought I was meaning that the dog was faithful. Well. I wasn't. The man is faithful to the dog! Ha! This is Spiritual Power if you see it! Each time the blind man needed assistance he grew to rely on the dog. He faithfully called on that dog. The dog was born to be faithful, but the man had to learn it! Now they live in a faithful (full of faith) relationship! I am my kid's father. I am faithful as a matter of life. No problem. But my faithfulness has taught my children to come to me in need. My 9 year old is now faithful. When frightened, worried or otherwise in need, she will find me or her mom. She has learned to be faithful. Have you learned that trait with FATHER? When you are in need, what is your knee-jerk reaction? Is it to come to HIM? Does it take you a few days of burning out your own futile attempts to solve your crisis? This verse today tells us how to "turn up the heat" of our support-relationship with the FATHER. When we show ourselves faithful to HIM, HE is released by our faith to be WHO HE is in our lives! HE is Faithful. HE is the Author and Finisher of faithfulness. That means HE is our Perfect Supply! Test HIM and see! Are you in need today. Then I tell you to stop you own attempts to be your own Supply. Stop it! Quit! Now! Become more faithful to HIM today and cry out to HIM for HIS help! HE started a good work in you! Yes HE did. And guess what? HE is faithful to perform it!!! |
