Your Supply Depends On Waging War With Divine Power!

(Editor's note: The Hebrew notion of Salvation (Deliverance) included much more than forgiveness and eternal life. Salvation meant freedom from debt, worry, fear and sickness.  Power over enemies, total victory and possession of a land was integral  to the concept.  Today many believers have been put off by hyper-prosperity teaching.  This teaching may have been responsible for many believers retreating entirely from the True Gospel, which portrays CREATOR as SUPPLIER! 


"By the meekness and gentleness of CHRIST, I appeal to you--I, Paul, who am "timid" when face to face with you, but "bold" when away!  I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world.  For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of GOD, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to CHRIST."  
2 Corinthians 10:1-5

Living By What Standards


Choose your weapon, the old saying used to go.  That saying still goes!  We have to make a choice.  Did you ever take a drink of water from a fountain and it turned out to be salt water?  Hopefully not.  But one thing I know, a fountain cannot produce fresh and salt water at the same time.

Neither can we fight with carnal (that's the old word) weapons and Spiritual weapons at the same time.  As Paul did in the above passage, we must make a stand!  We must choose not to wage war by the standards of this world, and choose instead to make war using weapons of divine power.

How, you ask?  And well do you ask!  This is so easy it might appear hard!  Ha!  How's that for encouragement? Well, it's just that we are so busy making things complicated and I really don't want us to do that concerning this subject.

You see, our Supply depends on waging war with divine power.  You did know that you are in a war, right?  I am talking about the battle waged against the Follower of JESUS to steal, kill and destroy.  The enemy of our souls would like to keep us poor, sick and depressed.  No good!  We need to fight back.  There's the point!!!

We certainly need to use effective weapons.  Here is the simplicity . . .   Our natural tendency is to fight as hard as we can using the world's standards.  Need money, work more.  Take two or three more jobs.  Forget your family, forget your Church, forget the Kingdom.  Right?  Wrong!  How about seeking first the Kingdom of GOD and letting HIM add all that we need!  

And there it is.  As we seek HIS Kingdom first, everything else falls in to place.  That doesn't seem to make sense at times, especially when we have adopted the world stance, but it is truth none the less.  Here it is in its simplicity.  

Stop in the flesh.  Continue in the Spirit!

The world will argue that you are too "heavenly minded" and such.  So, do what our Scripture verse tells us to do with such thoughts.  Cast them down.  Bring them into obedience!  Put them in their place (the thoughts).  Then focus on all the things that FATHER would have you accomplish and let HIM perform HIS Word in your life!  Then the rest will be history!  Your History.  His Story!  And it always has a happy and joyful ending!
