Enter FATHER'S Supply For You!
(Editor's note: The Hebrew notion of Salvation (Deliverance) included much more than forgiveness and eternal life. Salvation meant freedom from debt, worry, fear and sickness. Power over enemies, total victory and possession of a land was integral to the concept. Today many believers have been put off by hyper-prosperity teaching. This teaching may have been responsible for many believers retreating entirely from the True Gospel, which portrays CREATOR as SUPPLIER!
"Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said; "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it." But the men who had gone up with him said; "We can't attack those people, they are stronger than we are." Numbers 13:30,31 "Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and said to the entire Israelite assembly; "the land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the LORD is pleased with us, HE will lead us into that land, and a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them." But the whole assembly talked about stoning them. Numbers 14:6-10
For years I heard that the Jordan River symbolized our death in this life. Passing over the Jordan into the Promised Land signified going to heaven. But, at some point I learned that nothing could be farther from the truth! There will be no enemy in heaven, no struggle, no defeat. So the Promised Land certainly does not in any way represent heaven. And I don't believe it stands for our coming to believe in JESUS as SAVIOR, either. that would be the Red Sea! You know. Pharaoh is Satan. the Land of (Egypt) is our old life . . . So what is the Jordan. Easy. It is the river we must cross to receive the Supply of CREATOR! It is the border of the promised land then and now. In our Scripture we see that not all wanted to obey and trust GOD and walk on into the Land of Supply. FATHER'S intention was for us to have everything we need and more, so we could spend time with HIM, our families, friends and show the Supply of GOD to unbelievers so they would believe! Same then - same now. Caleb was a wild man for GOD! He saw the fruit. As for the enemy, he trusted that if FATHER sent us to this land, HE would take care of the problems. Joshua felt this way, too. 999,998 other people did not! They were scared, angry, bitter, grumbling and unwilling. Imagine you as being in that crowd. Then suddenly you came to your senses. Looking around you began to cry out, "Hey! Wadaya all crazy? this is the Promised Land! CREATOR sent us here. HE loves us. Didn't you see the baseball-sized grapes? (What are baseballs, they shouted back at him). CREATOR said HE was GIVING US THIS LAND. What? HE'S not gonna keep HIS Word. Geeeeeeeee! Get me outa here. These people are dense like a forest . . . Caleb! Josh! I'm coming. Wait for me!" And you threw yourself on the ground in sincere repentance for doubting our FATHER! HE looked down and said, "None of you will enter MY Supply! Except for Caleb, Joshua and ______ (say your name) They believed ME! Enter in MY good and faithful servants." So I believe that the wilderness between the Red Sea and Jordan represents the area of life that believers in JESUS will stay unless they read the Word and accept it! The land beyond the Jordan represents the Supply that our FATHER has for us. It is still guarded by the enemy. The enemy of our souls. He uses tricks and delusions to keep believers out and in the land of lack. Remember the J/C Mentality (looking with the eyes of Joshua and Caleb). Well that's what it takes to enter the Supply of the LORD. And it is rich with baseball-sized grapes (and we know just exactly what a baseball is .. ) It takes faith to enter in. But that's it. Then the Power of a Mighty CREATOR steps in with the Victory and Supply! |
